本書ももう終盤、、今回は第7段、”微妙なニュアンスを瞬時に英語化”です！ん〜〜こういうことを言いたいんだけど、、まぁ英語で言えないしいっか、となってしまうことって、多いですよね。本章の表現が助けになるかも？

ひとつづつ見ていきましょう！
①It’s so〜
まさに〇〇らしい、という意味。以下の例以外でも、It’s so him/her、みたいな使い方も可能です！
例：The style was so Japanese.
②a hint of
微かな、という意味。a hint of rose(微かなバラの香り)、a hint of Japanese accent などのように使われます。
例：I wonder why his eyes have a hint of sadness every time he mentions his family.
③It’s worth a shot
やってみる価値がある、という意味。GIve it a shot!のshotですね
例：It’s very unlikely, but it’s worth a shot.
④Not necessarily
頻出。必ずしも〜ない、という意味。ただ、使ってみると、質問に対して”Not necessarily.”だけで文章を終わらす場合には簡単だけど、必ずしも〇〇じゃない、というような英文を組み立てる時少し難しいので慣れるようにしましょう！Necessarilyがなくても意味が通る否定型の文章を作って、notの後にnecessarilyを入れるイメージです。
例：Expensive products are not necessarily better in quality.
⑤One of these days
近いうちに。実際にはIn the near futureより頻繁に使われる表現だそう。
例：One of these days, I’ll commit to the gym!
⑥I’d even say
なんなら〜だよ。むしろ〜だよ。というニュアンスの表現。
例：I’d even say I enjoy this now more than I did when I was 17.
⑦I found myself doing
気づくと〇〇してしまった、というニュアンス。
例：I found myself staring hard at her while singing Karaoke. I hope she won’t think I’m a stalker.
⑧not matter all that much
all that muchは”そんなに”という意味でこの表現以外にも使われる。この表現では”そんなに重要じゃない”という意味になります。
例：TOEIC score doesn’t matter all that much.
⑨It’s not like I care, though
どうでもいいけど、知らんけど、という意味。
例：It’s not like I care, though, I hear they are seeing each other
⑩While you are at it, (can you~)
ついでに〇〇してくれない？という意味。便利！
例：While you are at it, could you restore my SNS account?
